Short track beating and banging was in full supply during the NASCAR Xfinity Series® Hy-Vee Perks 250 at Iowa Speedway, but Sam Mayer prevailed in Overtime to score his second victory of the 2024 season. Mayer, with his No. 1 Roto-Rooter Chevrolet Camaro, had to play a tire conservation game while also out-battling his closest competition down the stretch. Mayer led a race-high 47 laps, but had to earn the win through an epic side-by-side battle on the race’s final Overtime restart. Once out in front, Mayer led the final lap and a half for his sixth career NASCAR Xfinity Series® win.
