About Racing Collectables Club of America

Commonly known as RCCA, the Racing Collectables Club of America was founded more than 20 years ago when the popularity of NASCAR diecast cars was booming.

  • Since the club began in 1991...

RCCA has evolved from a small, core membership to include more than 15,000 active members. Today, the club is known as the premier motorsports club and welcomes fans and collectors of NASCAR, NHRA and more.

  • As the club has grown through the years...

RCCA has simultaneously expanded the membership experience to include monthly diecast catalogs, invitations to members-only events, at-track tours, exclusive diecast, a dedicated call center, and more. RCCA is also the exclusive provider of ELITE die-cast. First produced in 1997, the ELITE diecast has grown to feature over 250 individual parts and pieces, making it the most detailed collectible on the market and a true collector’s piece.

  • In late 2010...

Lionel LLC, maker of the iconic Lionel Electric Trains, acquired the exclusive rights to produce licensed NASCAR diecast and launched Lionel NASCAR Collectables, which became the new home of RCCA.

  • In its first full year with Lionel...

RCCA celebrated its 20th anniversary in May 2011 with a party for several hundred of its members at the Lionel warehouse in Concord, NC. A 20th anniversary diecast was designed to mark the occasion and NASCAR Hall of Famer Bobby Allison stopped by to meet with RCCA members and sign autographs.

  • Since 2010...

As the NASCAR side of the club continued to grow, RCCA was busy expanding its product line to include officially licensed NHRA diecast, which brought new motorsports collectors on board.

  • In 2013...

To reflect its new partnership with NHRA and its continuing license with NASCAR, Lionel NASCAR Collectables was rebranded as Lionel Racing and launched a newly designed direct-to-consumer web site, which became the new home of RCCA.

LionelRacing.com is now the place for RCCA members to find out about upcoming events, official members-only announcements, and exclusive diecast offers. It’s also the new place for non-members to discover the RCCA experience and add their names to the rolls of this rapidly growing motorsports club.

  • In 2014...

Lionel Racing set a new record when the Daytona 500 Win die-cast of Dale Earnhardt Jr. became the best-selling die-cast in company history.

In addition, two new special finishes, RAW and Vintage, were introduced in 2014. The company's 1:18 scale plastic NASCAR toy cars also hit the market.

  • In 2015...

Lionel Racing introduced the ICON Collection - a legendary new finish reserved for the sport's legendary moments. Built on the 1:24-scale ELITE tool the ICON finish is produced at the most detailed, premium-level available. With a win at every track but one, four NASCAR Sprint Cup championships and a third seat on the all-time NASCAR® win list, driver Jeff Gordon and his No. 24 Chevy SS were a shoo-in for the first ever produced ICON finish.

Wrapping up the 2015 NASCAR season, RCCA celebrated another great year of racing by hosting its first ever RCCA Member Appreciate Event at Ford Championship week in Homestead. RCCA members enjoyed the race weekend from a fully-catered suite overlooking pit road.
