The new-found collaboration between Dirt Late Model standout Hudson O’Neal and Kevin Rumley’s Longhorn Chassis team has been fruitful so far in 2024, with momentum building as the season continues. O’Neal, the reigning Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series champion, has visited victory lane twice behind the wheel of the K&L Rumley Enterprises car, at both Atomic Speedway and Ultimate RV & Motorsports Park. The Lionel Racing-backed car saw the most recent World 100 winner also finish an impressive fourth place at Eldora Speedway’s Dream event in early June. O’Neal and Rumley joined forces early this spring to support O’Neal while he got acclimated to his new Longhorn Chassis, as well as to keep the Rumley car up to speed while the team’s primary driver, Kyle Larson, is busy participating in other forms of motorsport. This partnership between O’Neal and Rumley is expected to last throughout the summer at various events. O’Neal however will continue to race his own #71 entry at the Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series events, where he is chasing his second championship.
